Walmart Store Scam

October 22, 2018

It has come to our attention that people are receiving letters and check in the mail using our logo and a fake website (brandtgroup.org). Recipients are asked to deposit the check and then complete their assignment within 24 hours only to find out days later that the check bounced. We assure you that the only way to sign up for a shopping assignment from The Brandt Group is through our website. Do not deposit this check! This is a scam and you will not receive any money from The Brandt Group.

If you would like to provide us examples of the documents you received (including the envelope, letter, and check), please email us at alert@thebrandtgroup.com.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) both recommend you report this incident to https://www.ic3.gov/complaint or https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.

You may also report these incidents to your state’s Attorney General or your local Postmaster.
