It surely goes without saying that 2020 was a difficult year for all of us. Pandemic. Social unrest. Lockdowns. Curfews. Questions about how to keep our businesses open or make ends meet haunted many of us. It’s no wonder that we’re so excited move into a new year. But we must also face the realization that just because the number changed from 2020 to 2021 doesn’t mean the problems have been solved. Even with recently approved vaccines, distribution will take time, which means we still have to contend with these same adversities longer still.
While this truth is bitter, we mustn’t let that deter us. Overcoming adversity is the stock and trade of America and our birthright, and we should all feel motivated to persevere despite the unyielding and unending feel of it all. Each of us has a reason to fight on: people who depend on us, goals to achieve, and even the pride that comes from not wilting under pressure.
If you’re a business owner, you’ve undoubtedly faced some of the hardest decisions you’ve ever had to make. Just making payroll might have been a delicate balancing act. If you’re an employee, you have likely faced reduced hours if not outright unemployment. The bills keep coming in whether the paychecks do or don’t. Of course, this all even worse if you’re in the medical profession or law enforcement, staring down real danger. Our unending respect and gratitude to those on the frontlines, truly.
These are ugly times, but let us remember that this too shall pass. Remember that every day that goes by ultimately draws us closer to a better time. Hang in there. —We at The Brandt Group want you to know that we’re in this with you, experiencing many of the same difficult choices you’ve faced, doing everything we can to ride this out, too.

We all have contributions to make, and though most of us can only affect our little corners of the world, it will all add up to help ease our collective burdens and hasten our recovery. From the bottoms of our hearts, we appreciate each and every one of you, and we look forward to continuing to work with you into the new year, and hopefully into much happier and more prosperous times.
